Quetzal Natural Gray Wool Handmade Rug with Cotton Handwoven Border
Our beautiful wool rugs got an embellishment featuring a hand-woven border made in a loom with 100% cotton. Green and Teal colors inspired by the Guatemalan bird Quetzal, are combined with natural, no-dyes wool, creating an organic and modern look.
Every piece from Achiote Guatemalan Rugs is completely handmade, from the spinning of the yarns and the weaving on the loom, all the way to the transformation process of converting the fabric into an area rug.
The result is a fully functional real rug that provides extraordinary beauty from the hands of tradition.
By combining traditional handcrafting techniques from talented artisans with the innovation of our own technology, we hope to boost incomes for the artisans and maintain the traditions that are essential to their way of life.
Each and every Achiote Guatemalan Rug is unique and made on-demand, the process is carefully carried to ensure high quality, therefore our lead time is from 6 to 8 weeks.
